3D Printable Parametric Braces
3D Printable Parametric Braces. Design to fabrication in a single workflow.
The project was developed with Fix it, a healthcare startup from Brazil. Fix it develops various models of braces that can be customized for each client, 3d printed flat, and later be heat-molded in place, speeding the fabrication process by excluding the need of complex print supports.
Code Design was hired to parametrize the 3d models and create a single workflow from design to fabrication. The final algorithm takes the custom brace sizes and automatically generates the design and export the g-code for fabrication, processes that were previously done manually for each model.
